The following pages were created in the course of the project Creative Reading that was organised by Goethe-Institute Beirut in collaboration with various public libraries throughout Lebanon in November 2007.
These pages deal with projects that took place in Beirut. For the other projects see the link mentioned above.
The Slave is a performance including live acting and shadow puppets created by Najla Khoury and pupils from the Bachoura sector of Beirut based on a story by Martin Auer.
Moods is an arts project conducted by Sana' Shabbani and Martin Auer based on the book "What does Yasir want to say?" by Nabiha Mheidly, also with pupils from Bachoura.
Both projects were held in the Bachoura public library "ASSABIL".
Cafe is an online creative writing project with students of Goethe Institute conducted by Martin Auer. For this project Martin Auer took pictures of passers-by in Hamra street, Beirut, wrote an introductory poem and asked the students to write poems describing the thoughts of the persons portrayed in the photographs.
For this project we used the frOozle website builder system that you are viewing at the moment.
